About NAPT – Double award winners 2010

BIOGRAPHY
NAPT, aka Ashley Pope and Tomek Naden, are a multi-award winning British electronic dance music production and DJ duo whose popularity has rocketed in the last 2 years. Their self coined N-Funk sound is a heady concoction of breakbeat, electro and house spawned from the UK underground and informed by a keen ear for the tasteful end of the commercial spectrum.
NAPT’s first releases were remixes for major label artists Lumidee and Jon Cutler. NAPT then went on to release a slew of chart topping and critically acclaimed tracks on a host of labels including the award winning Funkatech Records, Sony Records, Fingerlickin Records and more, which have been consistently played on Radio 1, Kiss FM, Triple J etc and featured in major online and offline press including DJ Mag, iDJ, Mixmag, inthemix etc; from the top selling and award winning singles “Gotta Have More Cowbell” and “Make My Day” which have to date racked up over 15,000 sales, to remixes and collaborations with electro-pop act Kish Mauve (Kylie Minogue fame), Mercury Prize nominee MJ Cole, Dubstep luminary G-Double from Anti-Social crew, British drum and bass MC Skibadee, UK soul legend Mica Paris and rising UK Urban star Ashley “Bashy” Thomas.
In 2009 NAPT picked up a highly esteemed award from Beatport.com for their remix of Slyde’s “Frequency,” followed by wins for Best Producer, Best Track and Best Remix at Breakspoll. In 2010 they repeated their wins for Best Producer and Best Track at Breakspoll – the first time in the history of the awards that the Best Producer and Best Track categories had been won by the same artist in successive years.
As DJ’s NAPT have headlined and performed shows all over the world, from Fabric in London, Glastonbury Festival Somerset to Ambar in Perth the N-Funk continuously infiltrates many a dance floor. NAPT also pioneered the online mix tape with 3 highly successful mix series to date, the latest “Live In The Mix” gaining well over 40,000 downloads.
Successfully traversing a multitude of genres the NAPT N-Funk sound refuses to be boxed in with their innovative, mutated, high sheen productions rocking the most discerning of dance floors.
The future seems ever bright for the new heroes of the dance.

Mistress Mangladesh

(Trancecore/Gomp/inAhome)

http://soundcloud.com/mistress-mangladesh/11-hits-of-mangladesh

This philharmonic technotronic mistress has been putting love into the decks and the underground community since 05. She began by seeding her roots deep into Minimal and branching outwards to Techno, house, and more. This ridonkulous entourage entices her dance floor to sink their teeth into the musical steak before them.. Thus this scorpion’s love of intricate percussion, experimental, funk and anything dirty make her a versatile flavor to be reckoned with. Having played at such festivals as Motion Notion, North Country Fair and Astral Harvest, this girl has a keen passion for record digging so fine, its hard to match anyone to her style. Mangladesh will make you feel the rhythmic vibrations of the earth and leave you craving for more dirty bass in your face! Mmmmm..yummy!

Smokey Bandits

(Techno Hippy Crew | Astral Harvest | Renegade Bass)

This high energy duo always has a few tricks up their sleaves so expect something new from them every time they hit the decks.
